About This Event
AI is moving fast, and small business owners are right to ask two practical questions: Do I need to pay attention to this now? And if so, where will it actually help my business?
This workshop is designed to give entrepreneurs, freelancers, and small business owners a clear foundation for using AI without getting distracted by hype. Before jumping into tools, we’ll establish the core principles: how to decide whether AI is useful for a specific task, when it is worth adopting now versus waiting, and how to think about the speed of change as these tools improve exponentially.
Led by Hudson entrepreneur Gregg Carey, this practical session will show how small businesses can use AI in two ways: strategically, by redesigning parts of the business around better systems, and tactically, by empowering the team to move faster, reduce manual work, and improve consistency.
We’ll cover real-world applications for small businesses, including:
- Accounting and finance workflows
- Inbound sales and lead follow-up
- Customer support
- Proposals and client communication
- Marketing, content, and campaign execution
- Personal productivity for owners wearing too many hats
You’ll walk away with a practical framework for evaluating AI opportunities in your own business, including:
- How to identify tasks that are repetitive, expensive, slow, or inconsistent
- Where AI can reduce overhead without reducing quality
- When automation is helpful — and when a human should stay in the loop
- How to start small without rebuilding your entire business
- How to use AI as an owner, even if you do not consider yourself technical
This workshop is for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and small business owners in the Hudson area who want to understand how AI can help them operate leaner, respond faster, and focus more time on the work that actually creates value.
