Beyond "Fine": Staying In Conversation With Teens

Registration ends Wednesday, 07/22/2026 6:00pm EDT

About This Event

Facilitated by Michele Widd of GoalSpark Coaching.

Most conversations with teens don't fall apart because someone said the wrong thing. They fall apart because the adults in the room don't know what the research says about how the teenage brain actually works, or what it takes to keep a teen in the conversation.

This free, 90-minute workshop translates the science of adolescent communication into three strategies you can use immediately. We'll draw on research in developmental neuroscience and parent-teen communication patterns to understand why teens disengage, and what changes when adults do something different. Expect real conversation, not a lecture. Come with your hardest moments; leave with something concrete to try.
