NY ABLE is a savings and investment program that allows eligible individuals with disabilities to save money for qualified expenses without losing benefits like SSI, SSDI, or Medicaid. Funds can be used for everyday costs like housing, education, transportation, health, and more, helping individuals maintain independence and quality of life.

This session will cover:

  • How to save and invest your money without impacting federal benefits like SSI, SSDI, and Medicaid

  • Who qualifies for an ABLE account

  • Who can open an account on behalf of a qualified individual

  • What an ABLE account can be used for

  • New program changes in 2026
