The Farmer’s Financial Blueprint: A Workshop with Michael Robertson of Shelterbelt Advisors

Time: 6-7:30PM
Location: The Spark of Hudson: 502 Union Street, Hudson, NY 12534
Free

Join Michael Grady Robertson, Certified Financial Planner® and founder of Shelterbelt Advisors (a tax preparation firm), for a practical financial workshop designed for farmers, small business owners, and mission-driven entrepreneurs.

Michael has over 20 years of experience working on organic farms and now runs a fee-only financial planning firm that focuses on clear, unbiased guidance. He understands the financial realities of running a small or agricultural business and has been developing a planning framework called The Farmer’s Financial Blueprint to address those needs.

This workshop will give a broad overview of what Michael believes business owners need in order to be financially successful, including:

  • Cash flow and budgeting

  • Taxes and investments

  • Insurance and risk management

  • Personal and business goal planning

  • Building long-term resilience

The session will also include a discussion about the real challenges business owners face, creating space to compare experiences and ask questions.

After the workshop, attendees will receive a sample financial plan and a set of practical guides based on Michael’s Blueprint.

If you’re running a farm or small business and want a clearer picture of your financial path, this workshop is a solid place to start.
