Presented by INSTITUTE FOR CLINICAL SOCIAL WORK

Unconscious Communication Between Three Minds: Patient, Therapist, Supervisor:

About This Event

A Consultation Group on Clinical Supervision

Description:

Six (6) Participants will present their supervisory work in consideration of deepening the understanding of the interface between the character structure of the patient and the supervisee
as well as the psychic interface between the supervisee and supervisor.

Questions like:
What kind of pressure does the patient use to control, capture or keep the therapist away? Is the patient obsessive, chatty, seductive, schizoid, or confused? Does the therapist allow you as
supervisor, to enter into his/her narrative? Does the therapist allow you to enter into his/her report of the session?

What kind of pressure does the patient put upon the therapist? How much space/room does the therapist allow for the patient to think and feel?  Is the therapist able to use his/her powers of association? Are you as supervisor, able to use your powers of free-association? What
kind of thoughts emerge in your mind as the therapist relates the treatment session to you?
Will be considered.
