NHP celebrates KING JAMES at IRT

Registration ends Friday, 01/31/2025 11:59pm EST

About This Event

Join The New Harmony Project for the Indiana premiere of King James by Rajiv Joseph. In 2019, NHP partnered with Steppenwolf Theatre to develop King James in New Harmony. Let's celebrate NHP and new plays by attending the IRT production right here in Indianapolis!

On February 1 at 3:30pm, join NHP for cocktails and snacks, and a conversation about new plays, The New Harmony Project's role in developing new work, and our partnership with IRT. Then we'll watch the performance together. After the show, stay for a post-show tour of the stage and a peek behind the scenes!

Tickets are $100 each and covers the cost of the pre-show reception, the performance, and the post-show tour.

In Rajiv Joseph's King James, two young men—one Black, one white—meet and bond over their love for the Cavaliers during LeBron James’ rookie season in Cleveland. Over the next twelve years, their passion for basketball never wavers, even as their lives keep moving in different directions. This warm, surprising, touching comedy about friendship, loyalty, loss, and the game is a slam dunk.
