At Boston Adult Technical Academy (BATA), we know students succeed when they feel supported, connected, and believed in. Many of our students face big challenges - moving to a new country, balancing work and family, or finding stable housing. Too often, alternative schools only focus on getting students to recover credits and graduate quickly. BATA is different.

We make sure students not only earn diplomas, but also gain confidence, belonging, and real-world skills. At BATA, students are part of a community that helps them thrive.

• YMCA memberships ($16/month per student) that give our students a safe and healthy space for wellness and recreation.

• Student-led initiatives and essential resources - from leadership projects to emergency help with food, housing, clothing, or legal aid - so students never have to choose between stability and education.

• After-School Learning Lab, where students make up credits, catch up on classes, and stay on track to graduate, even if attendance is interrupted by work or family needs.

• Pathway programs, including our flagship Community Health Worker Pathway, which equips students for meaningful careers in healthcare while serving their communities.

• Cultural events and school traditions that celebrate identity, build pride, and strengthen bonds across our diverse student body.
