About This Event
Join ForeverGreen Trails for a Trails & Tales guided walk that brings Pierce County’s trails to life through storytelling, local history, and culture. Explore the outdoors, connect with your community, and experience how trails shape a healthier, more connected region.
We are partnering with our friends at Pierce County Parks to celebrate the opening of the Parkland Community Trail with an on-trail walk-and-talk event. We will walk from the Sprinker Recreation Center to the Parkland Prairie, where the ribbon cutting will take place. Along the way we will learn about this long-awaited trail, efforts to reforest Parkland, mobility safety and health issues in this community, an upcoming community planning effort, and more! Bring a friend!
The walking route will be ~1.5 mile and fairly level and paved. Most of it will be adajecnt to but buffered from roadways. A few street crossings are involved.
