Parkinson's Movement Network Registration

The Michigan Parkinson Foundation offers in-person exercise classes across Michigan designed to support strength, mobility, communication, and overall well-being for people living with Parkinson’s.
Classes are available for a variety of ability levels and are led by trained instructors who understand the unique needs of those living with Parkinson’s.

Please note: If you are registering for a Metro Detroit location, you do not need to sign up for individual classes. Simply register for your preferred location, then choose the classes you would like to attend.
PWR! Moves
PWR! (Parkinson Wellness Recovery) Moves focus on large, intentional movements designed specifically for people with Parkinson’s. Exercises are performed in a variety of positions and can be adjusted to increase both physical and cognitive challenge. These movements are designed to carry over into everyday activities, helping make daily movement easier and more effective.
Strength Training for Parkinson’s
This class focuses on building and maintaining strength for people living with Parkinson’s. Participants use weights, resistance bands, and other equipment to support muscle strength and overall function. Exercises can be modified for all levels, including chair-based options.
Box and Move
This class uses boxing-inspired exercises to address a wide range of Parkinson’s symptoms, including posture, coordination, balance, strength, and rigidity. In addition to boxing, participants engage in activities that challenge fine motor skills, cognition, and multitasking.
Mind Body Boost
Led by a speech-language pathologist certified in SPEAK OUT!® and LSVT LOUD!®, this class focuses on vocal exercises, cognitive activities, and word-finding strategies. It is designed to support a stronger voice, improve communication, and maintain cognitive function.
Balance, Bend, and Breathe
This class incorporates yoga-based movements to improve balance, flexibility, core strength, and breathing. It is designed to be accessible and adaptable for all levels of Parkinson’s.
Urban Poling
This class uses Activator Poles designed specifically for people with Parkinson’s to support improved balance, posture, stride, and walking speed. The poles help reduce stress on the joints and lower back, making movement more stable and efficient.
