In preparation for the Traverse City Parkinson Hero Walk, join Torrey Davenport and Grace Rosa for a weekly walking group designed to help participants build confidence, endurance, and community.
This walking group will take the place of the Tuesday boxing class during the summer season.
Dates: Tuesdays, June 9 – August 18
Time: 2:45 p.m.
Location: Civic Center
1125 W Civic Center Dr.
Traverse City, MI 49685
Please meet at the pavilion closest to the entrance off Titus Avenue.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own water. Walking poles are optional, and those interested in purchasing a pair can contact Torrey at tdavenport@parkinsonsmi.org.
One loop around the Civic Center is approximately one mile. Participants may walk as far or as little as they would like.
Goal: Build up to walking the full mile at the Traverse City Parkinson Hero Walk, or register to complete a longer local race. Suggestions for local races will be provided.
This program is free to join. Registration is required to complete a waiver prior to participation.
