Join us on December 4-5, 2026, in Princeton, N.J., as we explore two critical American victories of the Revolutionary War: The Battles of Trenton and Princeton. This two-day experience will include a Friday evening dinner and lecture at the Nassau Inn given by historian William L. Kidder discussing the prelude to the Continental Army’s crossing of the Delaware and its victories at Trenton and Princeton. The following day, a day-long guided tour will explore the various locations that encompassed the two engagements, including Washington’s Crossing State Parks in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Washington’s Landing, Old Barracks Museum, and Princeton Battlefield State Park. Registration is limited to fifty-one people and will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis.

Dinner & Lecture – River of Victory: The Delaware Crossings that Saved the American Revolution

This dinner and lecture, held at Princeton's Nassau Inn, kicks off the two-day battlefield tour experience. The evening begins at 5:30 p.m., with a cocktail hour and buffet dinner. Following the evening's meal, a lecture given by historian William L. Kidder, author of Ten Crucial Days: Washington’s Vision for Victory Unfolds and the forthcoming River of Victory: The Delaware Crossings that Saved the American Revolution, will highlight and examine the events that preceded the Continental Army’s crossing of the Delaware River on December 25-26, 1776. The dinner and lecture will conclude at approximately 9 p.m.

Accompanying Friday's dinner and lecture is a day-long guided tour exploring the Battles of Trenton and Princeton that will include stops at Washington’s Crossing Parks in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Old Barracks Museum in Trenton, N.J., and Princeton Battlefield State Park in Princeton, N.J. Led by historian Roger S. Williams, the tour will examine American, British, and Hessian military actions; where the armies marched, fought, and struggled to survive; how the terrain, weaponry, and weather influenced how the battles were fought; as well as how the battles impacted the local citizenry and its diverse backgrounds.
