About This Event

November 14, Doors 7pm
Dahl Arts Center
Tickets $10 advance, $15 day of show
Free for Friends of the Dahl Members and children 12 and under.

During a very busy life, Cory reconnected with the book, “Women Who Run with the Wolves” by Clarrissa Pinkola Estes, and understood it was her job to go into her inner landscape and confront the beliefs that kept her from doing art more prominently. She returned to where it began – an enchanted place – a frog pond. She took her bones with her and dug up stones and turned over logs. She confronted all the messages of her life that told her she had to put other people’s dreams first. Then, she rewrote the script. Her performance, “THE FROG POND,” was born.

This performance is based on the premise that life is a frog pond and we are all in it. No clapping allowed between sketches, as the audience is asked to participate by becoming an inhabitant of the Frog Pond. We croak. We howl. We remember. Together, we go on an epic journey to reclaim our voices.

Cory Cavill is a poet, a storyteller, a performer–an explorer in being human. Her goal is to get people to think and interact with the elements of our world. We howl. We chirp. We play. We joyfully dive into the lessons found in living. You will begin to question, "What kind of flower am I? What does a river say to me? Do I sound like a bird or a wolf?" Cory is here to remind us that we are here to claim our voices, our stories, and our lives.
