Back by popular demand, our Uncanny Valley Puppet Slam returns to the Lobby at the Ritz for one-night-only with a fabulous array of new works. Presented as part of the 2026 Hudson Valley Puppetry Festival.
Featuring puppeteers from the Hudson Valley, NYC, and beyond, Uncanny Valley is Newburgh's first-ever puppet slam, presenting an eclectic mix of puppetry styles and performances at Safe Harbors' Lobby at the Ritz each spring and fall.
Taking inspiration from the worlds of vaudeville and cabaret, and from experimental theater, art, music, and dance, puppet slams are curated short-form puppetry acts for adult audiences that can be humorous, dark, thought-provoking, or all of the above.
