2026 Power of the Purse

United Way of DeKalb County is honored to celebrate a true milestone — the 20th Annual Power of the Purse luncheon! For two decades, this event has brought our community together to lift up families, strengthen local programs, and invest in brighter futures for DeKalb County’s children. Join us on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the iconic Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum. Doors open at 11:00 a.m., and the celebration begins at 11:30 a.m.

As we mark twenty years of purpose, partnership, and philanthropy, Power of the Purse remains more than a meal — it’s a movement. Each year, this event raises vital support for programs such as United Way of DeKalb County's Early Learning Initiative, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, Kindergarten Readiness programs, and other essential community programs funded through our grants across DeKalb County. These resources help ensure children have strong starts, families have support systems, and our community continues to grow stronger together.

Our 20th anniversary luncheon will feature an inspiring program, a delicious meal, and our signature raffle filled with stylish purses and incredible accessories donated by generous local partners. Every ticket and raffle entry helps fuel early literacy, school readiness, and family-strengthening opportunities — empowering every person in DeKalb County to reach their full potential, supported by a united community working together to create lasting change.
