Education and Leadership
Covers a full year of education costs for 18 girls on the MRH Campus, including airfare for Angelicum staff to conduct two achievement exams, educational and school supplies, transportation and food for community-based educational activities, Girl Scout expenses, school uniforms and shoes, monthly educational events (e.g., recognition programs, United Nations Day, etc.), educational modules, physical education supplies, and materials for other sports activities.
Therapeutic Care
Provides a full year of psychological support, including individual and group counseling, for all 18 shelter-based girls and 7 college students.
Prevention and Advocacy (iSpeak)
Supports a full year of prevention and advocacy efforts, including transportation and meals for the iSpeak Prevention Team, resource and training materials, and venue, food, and supplies for advocacy events, as well as tokens for participants.
College Scholarship
Pays tuition fees for two college/university scholars for one semester.
Fuel for Community Work
Covers the monthly fuel budget for two vehicles, supporting shelter programming and community outreach. Our iSpeak prevention team has been known to drive 9.5 hours in order to make it to one of the farther out places for workshops. Our Family and Community Engagement team sometimes drives and then takes a boat to visit one of our girl's families (noteworthy: $500 does not include their boat fare).
Meals for Girls and Staff
Provides one week of food supplies for all shelter-based girls and staff. Between 20-25 people share 3 meals and 2 snacks on campus every day. In other words, for only $250, you can provide over 700 nutritious home cooked meals and snacks each week at My Refuge House!
Provide Household Supplies
Supplies house cleaning products and toiletries for 18 girls for one month.
Support ASSET Scholars
Provides a monthly allowance for two elementary and junior ASSET scholars. ASSET is the family development program at MRH that provides siblings with scholarships to strengthen the culture of education at home, making it easier for the girls on campus to transition home when it's time.
