Character Matters

"Success in golf depends less on strength of body than upon strength of mind and character."  - Arnold Palmer

Corey Crossan, former college golfer and Assistant Director of Programming at Wake Forest's Program for Leadership and Character, will talk to parents and young golfers about how character development can improve performance and well-being.

Friday, June 12

7:30-9 p.m.

Latrobe Country Club Ballroom

limted seats available

Arnold Palmer believed in the importance of good character – and the exhibited traits of integrity, honesty and sportsmanship. He learned lessons through the game and applied those to all aspects of his life.

The Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation is launching a new initiative to help young people deal with life’s challenges and equip them with skills for success on and off the course. The Palmer Foundation is partnering with Wake Forest University, Arnold Palmer’s alma mater, to develop a character education program that can be incorporated into youth golf programs around the world.
