Date & Time
8:00am MDT - 5:00pm MDT
About This Event
Please join us for a guided tour of the Topaz Museum in Delta that tells the history of the Japanese American incarceration site. Together we'll hear from museum staff as they tell the stories of people of Japanese ancestry from the Bay Area who lost their civil rights because they looked like the enemy. The Topaz Museum board owns 640 acres of the unusually preserved site where 11,000 of the total 120,000 were confined during World War II.
Comfortable buses will take you from the Museum of Utah 125 miles to the Topaz Museum. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Since this is an outdoor event in high desert terrain, remember to wear sturdy shoes. Bring a hat, sunglasses, and water for the day from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
