Calling All Family Caregivers: This is YOUR Day
Do you spend time looking after a family member or close friend, assisting them with anything from doctor's visits, medication management, paying bills, preparing/delivering meals, mowing the lawn, getting dressed, and everything or anything in between? Guess what? You're a caregiver. And you're not alone.
At Vincentian we celebrate caregivers. Often unseen, caregivers do what is needed to help and support those they love, and includes chosen family and friends and not simply relatives. We have worked with partners within our community to design Vincentian's second-annual Care for Family Caregivers event, featuring a full day of interactive sessions and workshops addressing some of the many challenges of caring for others and supporting self-care and wellness as an integral part of the caregiving journey. We'd love for you to join us.
You are likely used to putting others first, arranging your schedule around the needs of those who rely on you. We invite you to take a few hours away from your daily role to replenish your caregiving strength, learn about resources within our community, and be surrounded by people who understand this journey and the love and challenges that come with it.
