Lumberjack Mile & 5K

Join United Way’s Lumberjack Mile & 5K—a fun, flannel-filled run that fights hunger and helps local kids and families thrive. Your registration helps provide nutritious snacks and meals to students and their families—silencing the growl of hunger in our schools and neighborhoods.

Races begin at 9 a.m. from Grand Rapids Public Utilities, with check-in at 8 a.m. Enjoy a scenic route across the Mississippi River and through Veterans Memorial Park—plus music, treats, and finish-line fun!

Registrants before August 23 are guaranteed a limited-edition T-shirt designed by local artist Jenny Farber of Chaotic Beauty Artistry. Kids 5 and under run free with a race bib. Virtual participants will have packets mailed after race day (add $5 for shipping).

Early Registration (July 31-August 31) — $35 Adults (ages 13+); $25 Child (age 6-12)
