Experience the future of music in Fairfield County!

Join us for a thrilling evening showcasing two exceptional young violinists who will compete to become INTEMPO’s inaugural Artist-in-Residence. 

The winner will receive a remarkable career-launching opportunity, including the exclusive use of our historic 1883 “INTEMPO” Giuseppe Sgarbi & Antonio Sgarbi violin and a concerto appearance with Orchestra Lumos!

Judges will include Orchestra Lumos conductor Michael Stern and concertmaster Deborah Buck.

Meet the finalists:

🎻 Daniel Rafimayeri — 2025 Laureate of the Washington International Strings Competition and Gold Medalist of the Stulberg International String Competition. A graduate of The Juilliard School, Daniel is currently pursuing further studies at the Yale School of Music.

🎻 Ashley Yoon — Winner of the American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music and past fellow at the Bowdoin and Norfolk Chamber Music Festivals. A graduate of The Juilliard School, Ashley is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at the Yale School of Music.
