INTEMPO, a Stamford-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth through high-quality music education, is thrilled to celebrate its 15th anniversary with a festive Quinceañera celebration on Tuesday, November 18 at The Village in Stamford.
Inspired by the Latin American tradition of celebrating a girl’s 15th birthday, this quinceañera-themed fundraiser honors INTEMPO’s deep cultural roots and milestone anniversary. The evening will feature live music performed by INTEMPO students, food, drinks, dancing, silent auction, live auction, and a paddle raise, all in support of expanding access to music education for underrepresented youth.
The event will feature a keynote address by Jordan Salama, a writer, journalist, and producer who has explored themes of migration, environment, and culture across the U.S. and Latin America for publications such as The New Yorker, New York Magazine, The New York Times, National Geographic, and NPR.
