Virtual Coffee Encounter - September 16, 2026 - Featuring Steve Finkelman

Virtual Coffee Encounter - September 16, 2026
Featuring Steve Finkelman

For Steve Finkelman, Holocaust remembrance is deeply personal.

His father, Wolf Finkelman, survived the Holocaust after his concentration camp was liberated just before its sick and starving prisoners might have perished. In the years that followed, Wolf repeatedly shared his testimony so the world would remember those who never had the opportunity to tell their own stories.

Today, Steve carries that responsibility forward.

A longtime leader in Houston's Jewish community, Steve has devoted decades to strengthening Jewish life, supporting Israel, confronting antisemitism, educating future generations, and preserving Holocaust memory. His service has extended across organizations including the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston, Texas Hillel, ADL Southwest, AIPAC, JINSA, Israel Bonds, and the Center for Medicine after the Holocaust. He also serves as an advisor to the Holocaust Garden of Hope.

Join us for this special Virtual Coffee Encounter as Steve reflects on his father's extraordinary survival, the responsibility of inheriting a survivor's story, and what remembrance demands of us now.

This is more than a story about what one generation survived. It is a conversation about what the next generation chooses to remember—and what each of us is called to do with that memory.

Join us for this moving and timely conversation as we reflect on memory, truth, and the responsibility each generation carries to ensure that "Never Again" is more than a promise, it is a commitment.
