About This Event
In the sacred time of Wuqu Tz’i’ and Wajxaqi B’atz’, on June 21 and June 22, 2026, a door opens to connect with sacred justice and deep balance in life and on the path, as we end one ceremonial cycle and enter the next, according to the Sacred Maya Cosmovision.
Each person is invited to walk towards a just and full life, where respect, healing, and self-justice are the foundation. It is time to ask the Creator and Maker Ajaw to listen to sincere intentions and strengthen the spirit to face challenges with balance and wisdom.
We invite you to register for a virtual Wajxaqi B’atz’ Maya Fire Ceremony, Monday, June 22 at 8 AM Guatemala time, and so too do our maya spiritual guides offer additional (optional, at-home) practices before the energy of Wuqu Tz’i’ on June 21 (details below).
Guidance from our elders:
This is a call to release the burdens that do not belong to us: to leave behind pain, guilt, and memories that do not nourish growth. To recognize that, although we may have been born into difficult circumstances, we are not responsible for the wounds of the past, nor is it necessary to carry the role of victim.
True justice begins within, with the activation of one's own strength and faith in oneself. Every human being is unique, a bearer of dual energies that complement each other, and has a special mission on Earth.
At this time, we are invited to renew our commitment to life, harmonizing spirit and body: through ceremonies, cleanings with sacred plants, and the surrender of what no longer serves...to make space for renewal and inner peace.
May this new lunar cycle be a call to healing, hope, and the conscious creation of a path full of justice, fullness, and respect for oneself and others.
You are invited to join from every corner of the world, honoring the diversity and unity that connects us for a Wajxaqi B’atz’ Maya Fire Ceremony, Monday, June 22 at 8 AM Guatemala time.
Preparation for Wajxaqi B’atz’ on June 22
The sacred ceremony is a special moment to connect with ancestral energies, honor spiritual commitment, and open space for healing and internal renewal. To receive the new cycle with respect and consciousness, it is essential to prepare adequately from the body, spirit, and physical space.
During the ceremony, it is important to keep a candle, copal, flowers, or a small fire lit, as far as possible. This sacred space is for expressing gratitude, releasing what no longer serves, and setting new intentions and goals for the cycle that begins.
You are invited to perform a personal ceremony, a spiritual feast where you present to the fire what was not achieved during these nine months, and set new goals and purposes.
**Details for how to prepare the body, spirit, and physical space prior to arriving at the altar on Wajxaqi B’atz’ are detailed in the registration email, as instructed by our Ajq’ij, Mayan spiritual guides.
More About Wajxaqi B’atz’
Wajxaqi B’atz’ is the celebration of a new cycle of the sacred Mayan calendar Cholq’iij. It is a day that honors the beginning of a new weaving in the history of life and ancestral knowledge. It marks a cycle of renewal of spiritual commitment and the delivery of the mission of a new Ajq’ij or initiation into the spiritual path.
**It is important to note that the word Ajq’ij is proper to the Mayan people and only a Maya can be recognized as an Ajq’ij, in the same way that other cultures have their own names for spiritual guides. This does not prevent anyone from working with the calendar or Mayan practices and being a spiritual guide, but it is fundamental to respect the essence and identify oneself as one is, always valuing each root.
