About This Event

Children work together to create a stage production of the Nativity Story. Participants will gain insight into stagecraft, blocking, and acting. The focus of this workshop is to teach the story contextually, retell it with playful reverence, and work together as a team to build friendships. The workshop concludes with a final performance that is open to the public. 

This workshop will take place on Thursdays from 3:45 - 5:45 p.m., October 23rd to December 11th.

PAGEANT DAY: SATURDAY, DECEMBER 13TH:

  • The final dress rehearsal at 12 p.m.
  • The live performance at 3 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE: If weather is adverse on the day of the pageant, the dress rehearsal and pageant will be recheduled to Saturday, December 20th at the same times.

Meet the Instructors

Justine and Jimmy Henault, two experienced multimedia and art professionals, will be leading this workshop. They have extensive experience in video production, theatre, design, and traditional art forms.

They are the primary producers of Waking Word's content, and have additional experience in children's ministry as Sunday School teachers and Bible Camp directors in their home church.

Justine and Jimmy live in Vermont with their four children and two beagles.
