Walk for Water West Michigan - May 18 12:30-3:00

Registration has ended

What's Happening

According to recent research, around 2 billion people in our world still lack access to to safely managed drinking water systems. 771 million don't have basic drinking water services meaning "an improved source within a 30 minute walking distance from home."

This is not okay.

Some estimates suggest that around the world, women and girls walk collectively 200 million hours each day to fetch water. If this isn't troubling enough, much of that water is unimproved and unprotected meaning there is a high likelyhood it will make them and their families sick.

We walk because they walk.

Join 20 Liters on May 18 at Johnson Park for Walk for Water West Michigan. Together we will learn more about the challenge of dirty water, walk with our friends and families, and learn simple, effective, and long lasting ways to make dirty water clean. The event runs from 12:30-3:00 (meet at the open air pavilion), and you can arrive at any time to walk and learn.

We will have food and activities for all ages to make the event fun and memorable. Although not required, everyone who registers above will receive a free t-shirt for participating.

Not able to attend on May 18? You can still support our work by clicking the Donate button on this page. $10 gets one person clean water for 10+ years.
