For more than three decades, Washington English Center and its volunteers have embraced immigrants and refugees from around the world and supported them in achieving their goals. Last year, WEC provided spaces where 1,977 newcomers from 103 countries learned to read, write, listen to, and speak English with greater confidence and fluency.
This Spring Event will bring together the students and alumni, volunteers, donors, and partners who make WEC so special—in a proud celebration of our students improving their English, finding meaningful work, and engaging more fully in their adopted communities.
