Gratitude Walk, November 27, 2026

The Waterspirit Team has a reverence for water. We make a commitment to preserve and protect this source and sustainer of life. On the day after Thanksgiving, rather than shopping, we head to Sandy Hook Beach to reflect on the beauty of the sea. We begin by exploring the maritime forest. We share a few mindfulness practices and learn more about this unique habitat. At the end of the walk we exit the forest and walk onto the sandy beach. We will enjoy a small water ceremony before returning to the parking area. During our return walk participants are encouraged to join us as we protect the precious water by picking up litter along the way.

The Thanksgiving season is the perfect time to join Waterspirit for 90 minutes of quiet reflection, gratitude, and the beauty of nature.

This event is free, but please consider a $20 donation per person.

*Park along the shoulder of the road to the fishing beach and meet at the entrance to the maritime forest trail.

**This walk is mostly level terrain on sandy soils with two sandy hills to enter and exit the beach area.

***Dress for the weather. This time of year we can have calm winds and blue sky, but the weather is typically windy and cold.
