About This Event
Join us for our next Waymaker Luncheon as we explore relational long-term presence. What changes when people don't just provide services, but stay?
Hear powerful stories about what frontline professionals encounter in the field — and how their compassion, quick action, and partnerships with organizations like First Fruit Ministries are helping to save lives and restore hope.
We’re excited to announce a powerful lineup of speakers for the upcoming Waymaker Luncheon:
Christian Vandenberg |
Christian runs the Christian Recovery House in Wilmington, where he supports men on their journey toward healing and stability. He also leads worship for Pine Valley Methodist Church’s Celebrate Recovery program, helping create a welcoming, faith-filled space for growth and transformation. |
Laurie Webb |
Laurie is a local social worker and therapist at MedNorth Health Center who is deeply committed to supporting the Wilmington community. Specializing in mental health care, crisis intervention, and grief counseling, she walks alongside individuals and families during some of life’s most difficult moments. With compassion and clinical expertise, Laurie helps people find stability, healing, and hope — meeting each person where they are and empowering them to move forward. |
Dawn Sheridan |
Dawn is relaunching the Sisters of Hope program at First Fruit Ministries, offering one-on-one support to survivors of human trafficking as they rebuild their lives. She walks closely with each woman beyond crisis and into long-term healing, stability, and independence — providing consistent care rooted in relationship, hope, and restoration. |
Jodie Rife |
Jodie has been in a program of recovery for 36 years and has spent the past 15+ years serving in leadership with Celebrate Recovery at Life Church. Beginning July 1, Jodie will be stepping into recovery ministry full-time, following his passion to help others find freedom, victory, and lasting hope. |
Each of these local leaders will share unique insights and experiences from their work with the homeless population. As always, this is a free community luncheon, and we’d love to have you with us for meaningful conversation, connection, and a delicious meal.
