Monthly Giving FAQ
What monthly gift do you recommend?
The minimum monthly gift to qualify for the thank-you gift is $10, but we recommend giving $25 or more per month. A $25 monthly gift provides $300 in annual support and helps build a sustainable community of monthly donors. Every gift makes a difference, and we welcome the amount that best fits your circumstances.
How do I become a Partner for Justice?
You qualify as a Partner for Justice when you give $85 or more per month or your gifts total $1,000 or more during the July 1 through June 30 recognition year. Partners for Justice are leadership donors helping expand access to civil legal services across Maryland.
What if I do not want to receive the tea towel?
The tea towel is completely optional. If you prefer not to receive the Rooted in Justice, We Grow Together Black-Eyed Susan tea towel, please contact the Development Team at (667) 224-7512 or Development@mdlab.org by October 14, 2026. Your decision will not impact your monthly gift, donor benefits, or recognition.
How can current monthly donors continue or increase their support?
If you currently give monthly through Network for Good, you will receive an email in the coming weeks with a new donation link and simple instructions for continuing your recurring gift through Qgiv, Maryland Legal Aid’s new donor giving platform.
To continue your support, please set up your recurring gift by October 10, 2026. After your new gift is established, you can cancel your existing Network for Good donation. If your current gift is less than $10 per month, you may also use the new donation link to increase your monthly gift to $10 or more and qualify for the special thank-you gift.
Please do not cancel your current gift until your new gift is active, so you can avoid an interruption in support. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact the Development Team. We are happy to help!
When will I receive my monthly giving thank-you gift?
New donors who begin a monthly gift of $10 or more, and existing monthly donors who continue or increase their gift to $10 or more through Qgiv, Maryland Legal Aid’s new giving platform, by October 10, 2026, will receive a Rooted in Justice, We Grow Together Black-Eyed Susan tea towel. Tea towels will be sent by the Development Team while supplies last. Limit one tea towel per donor.
When will my monthly gift be charged?
Your payment method will be charged on the day of your first gift and on the same day each month thereafter. If that date is unavailable in a particular month, payment may be processed on the next available date.
How do I change, pause, or cancel my monthly gift?
Select My Account on the donation page to update your payment method, change your gift amount, pause your gift, or cancel your recurring donation through Qgiv, Maryland Legal Aid’s donor giving platform. Changes generally take effect on your next scheduled payment date. You may also contact the Development Team for assistance
Is my donation secure?
Yes. Online donations are securely processed through Qgiv, Maryland Legal Aid’s donor giving platform, and recorded in Bloomerang, our donor management system. After you donate, you will receive an acknowledgment email from Maryland Legal Aid receipts@qgiv.net.
How is my personal information handled?
Personal information collected during the donation process is handled according to Maryland Legal Aid’s Privacy Policy and or QGiv/Bloomerang’s Privacy Policy.
