About this Member Appreciation Program

Investigating Cold Water Fisheries

Westport has more cold water brooks & streams than any other municipality in the State. More than great fishing, Westport’s brooks and streams are vitally important to healthy habitats for people and wildlife. Conserving the habitat around these cold water fisheries are a priority of WLCT.

We'll meet at Brookside Conservation Area, where it is a short walk to a lively section of Bread & Cheese Brook, a tributary of the East branch of the Westport River. Mass Wildlife Aquatic Biologist Joe Facendola will lead this talk.
