We haven't quite crossed the finish line for our fundraising goal!

Thank you to everyone who joined us Thursday, Sept 17, 2026 for We Work Weekends in Hollywood.

Getting to acknowledge Tamra, Asa, Kimberly, and Rachel – four of the incredible volunteers who power SELAH’s Sunday program – was an inspiring reminder of what this grassroots movement is all about.

A few moments from the evening are still ringing in our ears:

• Asa shared the best instruction he got on his very first day at SELAH: "Learn somebody's name."
• Kimberly spoke about moving to L.A., feeling isolated, volunteering on a whim and realizing, "I had found my place."
• Alex from The Center reminded us all that community doesn't happen by accident. It's built with intention. That’s exactly what Thursday night was.
• Jim's Theory of Community illustration – informed by you – placed trust-building at the heart of our program design.

Lou Wilson asked during the event: "Who, if not us?"

If We Work Weekends reminded you why neighbor-led work like SELAH matters in the mission to end homelessness, will you help us close the gap?
? Help us reach our goal here.

Every contribution keeps our Sunday program running as an essential community connection – ensuring a birth certificate gets replaced, a meal is shared, and another neighbor's name is learned.

In moments like this, the most reliable resource is one another.

Thank you for choosing to show up and build this community with us.
