What is Wheels of Joy?
Let Us Help Make Your Family's Holiday Season a Little More Magical!
This holiday season, the Erik Hite Foundation is excited to gift 60, 20-inch children's bicycles to the families of the dedicated professionals who help keep Southern Arizona's public safety agencies running every day.
Our public safety community is made up of so much more than the people we see in uniform. From communications personnel and professional staff to analysts and other behind-the-scenes team members, your work plays an important role in supporting those who serve our communities. We want to take this opportunity to recognize you and bring a little extra joy to the children in your lives.
Who Can Participate?
This opportunity is open to eligible professional staff & non-sworn members of public safety agencies served by the Erik Hite Foundation, including professional staff, communications personnel, analysts, and other support team members.
Eligible employees may submit a request on behalf of their own child or a child in their extended family.
How to Apply
Click apply and tell us why receiving a bicycle would make a difference for your child or the child in your extended family this holiday season. We welcome you to share your family's circumstances and what this gift would mean to you.
Every family's circumstances are different, and we will be giving each request thoughtful consideration.
* Please Note: We encourage families to consider their child’s age, height, and riding ability before submitting a request to ensure the bicycle is an appropriate fit. These are 20-inch bicycles intended for children who fit this bike size, generally 5-11 yrs old.
When Will Recipients Be Notified?
Recipients will be notified on 14 Dec 26.
With 60 bicycles available, eligible families will have the opportunity to bring home a special holiday surprise!
The holiday season is a time for generosity, gratitude, and caring for one another. At the Erik Hite Foundation, we are proud to support the people behind the scenes who help our public safety community thrive. We hope this initiative brings smiles, excitement, and lasting memories to the children and families who mean so much to you.
Let’s make this Christmas extra special!
Thank you for all you do to support those who serve and protect our communities. We look forward to helping create a special holiday memory for your family!
