About This Event
This is a free, limited-space event for the community to learn more about the aviation industry. The content of GIAD is geared toward girls ages 8 to 17, but everyone is welcome to attend! Bring your family, friends, troop, and group to learn more about STEM and aviation careers, including pilots, mechanics, and MORE!
Hosted rain or shine — we'll see you there!
Pilots, aircraft, local companies, aviation schools, and a wide range of industry professionals will be on hand to discuss careers in aviation and STEM, helping inspire future generations to pursue their dreams in the field. Representatives from commercial, corporate, and general aviation, as well as collegiate programs and UAV sectors, will be available to connect with attendees.
The event will also feature hands-on educational activities designed to teach key aviation and STEM principles.
Food trucks will be onsite with food available for purchase, and attendees are welcome to bring their own food and beverages (glass containers and alcohol are not permitted).

Volunteer at the event! Share your passion with the attendees of the event by volunteering, there are multiple roles and various shifts available. Link coming soon!
Exhibit or display your aircraft at the event! Set up a booth as your brand/company and share what you do in STEM, aviation, and aerospace with GIAD event attendees. Static aircraft displays are also welcome! Link coming soon!

Photo Permission and General Release of Liability: I hereby authorize WAI, the Metropolitan Airports Commission, and its affiliates to publish any photographs or videos taken of me or my minor child(ren) for use in WAI’s printed publications, website, and other mediums, and for training purposes. I release WAI and its affiliates from any expectation of confidentiality and attest by my signature that I am the parent or legal guardian of the child(ren) listed and that I have authority to permit WAI to use said photographs and/or video for promotional and training purposes. I acknowledge that participation in the event is voluntary. I acknowledge that WAI confers no rights in photos and/or video of my minor child(ren) and that neither me nor my minor child(ren) will receive financial or other compensation for use of such photo and/or video. I hereby release WAI and its affiliates from liability for any and all claims that may arise in connection with participation in the Girls in Aviation Day event, including but not limited to liability that may arise from any related publication or broadcast.
