A Virtual Informational Meeting with the Founders of the Women in Law Conference in Vienna, Austria

At IILP, we believe advancing inclusion sometimes means looking beyond familiar spaces. One experience that challenged and inspired us was attending the Women in Law Conference in Vienna, Austria—a truly global gathering where U.S. lawyers were in the minority and new perspectives took center stage.

Last year, this conference spotlighted gender‑equity efforts worldwide, from human rights advocacy in Australia to judicial access in Egypt and organizing initiatives across Africa and South Asia. It left us energized—and more committed than ever to moving our profession forward. We returned home with a renewed appreciation for the progress women lawyers in the U.S. have made—and a stronger sense of responsibility to keep pushing our profession forward.
