About This Event

The Long Island Science Center presents Wine & Crime.  Join us for a fascinating panel discussion with some of New York’s leading crime and forensics experts.  Moderated by Maggie Freleng, Producer at-Large for NPR’s Latino USA and 2019 Ford Foundation "50 Women Can Change the World in Journalism" Fellow, the panel will include Kristen Hartnett-McCann, board Certified Forensic Anthropologist and consultant for Suffolk County, Dr. Odette Hall, Deputy Chief Medical Examiner at the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, and Danielle Gruttadaurio, Suffolk County’s only Forensic Artist whose work includes the renderings of the Gilgo Beach victims.  Following the panel discussion, guests will have an opportunity to meet and mingle with the panelists at a wine reception.  Tickets are $65 each.

The Long Island Science Center is a non-profit STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathmatics) learning museum located in Riverhead, NY.  In addition to providing an interactive play and learn space to bring science to life, we provide school programs both on-site and in school throughout Long Island.  We are currently launching a series of new initiatives that will include a 3D Printing Class, a Homeless Shelter STEM Outreach program, and a Girls STEAM Club. Your support of this event helps us continue our mission of bringing the wonder and joy of discovery to both children and adults.
