Written by historian Lorissa Rinehart, the book reintroduces our American hero, whose fearless leadership shaped the women’s rights and peace movements of the 20th century and whose legacy continues through the work of the Jeannette Rankin Foundation. Founded with a bequest from Jeannette Rankin’s estate, the Rankin Foundation carries Rankin’s mission forward by awarding unrestricted Scholar Grants to nontraditional women students who are transforming their futures through education.
