This reception will celebrate Women's History Month and the American hero Jeannette Rankin, around the release of the new biograhy, Winning the Earthquake by author, historian Lorissa Rinehart. Rinehart as well as special digniataries and Rankin Foundation leaders will share highlights of Rankin's bold life and enduring legacy as the first woman to serve in federal office.

RSVP IS REQUIRED for members of the public by Monday, March 2 at 11:59 pm EST. Please RSVP on this webpage and use your full legal name matching your ID when registering. Congress members and staff can RSVP up until the event day. 

Parking: We recommend parking at Union Station Parking Garage, two blocks from the Capitol.

Entrance and Security: Enter the Capitol Visitor Center proceeding through the security screening. Go down one level to the Senate Appointment Desk at the right. At the desk, please provide your name and ID to receive a security badge. You must be on the RSVP list. Feel free to ask guides wearing red coats or the Capitol Police for assistance.
