About This Event
Join Women Confronting Racism on Friday, April 24th for a transformational one-day conference at the Costick Center in Farmington Hills, MI. The conference is entitled “The Cost of Our Silence: The Power of Voice”. Professor Yolanda Brown-Spidell is our keynote speaker.
Breakout sessions will address such matters as a city’s silence on racial violence, how to talk to children about racism, courageous conversations on difficult issues, silence/voice in education, and more. Additionally, a closing panel will engage in action-oriented dialogue over solution-oriented approaches on the cost of silence and the power of voice. Don't miss this opportunity to explore unique perspectives on the conference theme and to foster dialogue on a pressing issue of our times.
