About This Event
Join us for a ladies only introduction to the sport of flyfishing on the Guadalupe River! We are partnering with Rio Anglers and the Guadalupe River Trout Unlimited chapter to offer a one of a kind day of flyfishing education, comraderie, and the opportunity to wet a line in the Guadalupe using new skills learned throughout the day.
Over the course of the day you can expect to learn how to choose proper tackle, cast a fly rod, identify common freshwater fish species, and better understand the importance of our freshwater fishery from local experts and guides. Once the educational portion of the day wraps up we invite you to stay and fish with us for the remainder of the afternoon while enjoying light snacks and cold beverages.
This event is geared toward beginner and novice flyfisher-women, however is open to any lady who wants to attend and hone their skills.
Basic flyfishing tackle will be provided HOWEVER if you have a flyfishing rig you would like to bring, please do so.
Lunch, afternoon snacks and refreshments will be provided. Please plan to bring a folding camp chair and reusable water bottle.
