About This Event
Join us for the 24th Annual Stepping Up for Girls, an evening celebrating women’s philanthropy, leadership, and our shared commitment to girls across Central Massachusetts.
For more than two decades, the Women’s Initiative has brought women together to create meaningful change for girls. Through collective philanthropy, we invest in girl-centered programming that provides safe, supportive spaces where girls can build confidence, develop meaningful relationships, gain important life skills, and imagine what’s possible for their futures.
This year, we’ll recognize the people and partnerships that bring this mission to life, honor inspiring women leaders in our community, and commemorate a special milestone: 20 years of Dollar Scholar, our signature financial literacy and mentorship program for middle school girls.
We are proud to recognize our 2026 honorees:
- Lois B. Green Leadership Award: Jillian Keans, Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director, Her Way Home Worcester
- Meridith D. Wesby Young Leader Award: Gifty Kessie, Supplier Quality Engineer, Boston Scientific and Founder, AfroFit Fusion
Join us as we celebrate 24 years of stepping up and continue working toward a future where girls across Central Massachusetts have the support and opportunities they need to thrive.
