Music in the Gallery -- Death by Gurdy

About This Event

Please join us for a very special evening in the Gallery!

At 7:00 pm, enjoy an intimate acoustic instrumental concert on guitar and hurdy gurdy from Randy Roos and Noelle Beaudin on Saturday, February 21st at the WREN Gallery.

Randy Roos is the leader of Urethane, a member of Club d’Elf, Hall of Mirrors, and KR Collective, the owner of Squam Sound Recording and Production, and a professor at Berklee College. He received a Latin Grammy Award for Best Classical Album for recording, mixing and mastering Legado by Berta Rojas (2022), and an Emmy nomination for musical score for the movie A Celebration of Architecture. Learn more about Randy here.

Noelle Beaudin is a professional hurdy-gurdy player, pianist, organist, and composer who brings a distinctly contemporary voice to this centuries-old instrument. Her music shows that the hurdy-gurdy belongs far beyond medieval festivals and Renaissance reenactments. With complex, resonant compositions, she carries this beautifully idiosyncratic instrument into the 21st century with both style and innovation. Learn more about Noelle here.
