Blacklight Night Hike

Experience the enchanting world of Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge like never before on our Blacklight Night Hike! As the sun sets and darkness falls, join us for a unique adventure where we use blacklights to uncover the hidden wonders of the nocturnal world.

Equipped with special blacklight flashlights, you'll explore trails that come alive with glowing insects, fascinating fungi, and other nighttime surprises that are normally hidden from view. Our educators will guide you through the refuge, sharing intriguing facts about the creatures and plants that make the night their home.

This family-friendly event is perfect for adventurers aged 8 and up who are eager to explore and learn. Be sure to dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle and a sense of wonder!

Space is limited, so be sure to register early to secure your spot on this one-of-a-kind nighttime journey. Join us for an evening of exploration and discovery under the stars!

This program begins at 8:00pm and runs 1hr+ depending on our findings, not to exceed 90 minutes. Ages 8+ please. $15/adult, $10/child. 20 participants maximum. Advanced registration required.
