Teachers Go Wild: "Back to School"

Registration has ended

About This Event

Join us for Teachers Go Wild: "Back to School" at Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge

Kick off the school year with inspiration from the wild! Join us at Cedar Run for a special "Back to School" for Teachers event designed to showcase the exciting ways we can support your classrooms and students throughout the year.

Teachers are encouraged to bring the whole family or a friend—there’s something for everyone to enjoy! Admission is free for this event, but pre-registration is required.

The afternoon will begin with a brief presentation highlighting Cedar Run’s educational programs, field trips, and outreach opportunities—everything you need to know to connect your students with nature. Teachers in attendance will also receive a complimentary swag bag as our way of saying thank you!

While teachers learn about our offerings, kids will be invited to the front for a mini wildlife lesson led by one of our educators. Teachers can observe too and see the magic in action!

Afterward, enjoy a guided tour of our Wildlife Housing Area, where you’ll meet some of the permanent residents who help bring our lessons to life.

When the program concludes, you are welcome to explore the rest of the refuge on your own—take a walk on our trails, revisit the Wildlife Housing Area further, or simply enjoy some time in nature.

Come see how Cedar Run can be your partner in sparking curiosity, environmental stewardship, and a love of learning in your students!
