Building Supportive Communities: An Evening with Dr. Danielle Moore and Samantha Stites

Join us for an impactful evening of conversation, learning, and connection as we welcome nationally recognized survivor advocates Samantha Stites and Dr. Danielle Moore.

Through their lived experiences and professional expertise, Samantha and Dr. Moore will explore the interconnected realities of sexual violence, healing, and the power of community support.

Featured Speakers:

Samantha Stites is a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) whose 13-year experience with stalking is featured in the Hulu three part docuseries Stalking Samantha: 13 Years of Terror. She will speak about coercive control, stalking, and the long-term risks survivors may face, even after seeking help. 

Dr. Danielle Moore, Vice President and founding board member of The Athlete Survivors’ Assist and a survivor of former Olympic gymnast doctor Larry Nassar, brings insight from both her personal journey and her work in clinical and forensic psychology. She will share perspectives on trauma, institutional accountability, and survivor-centered approaches to healing and justice.

Event Details:

Following the presentations, the evening will conclude with a facilitated discussion and audience Q&A, offering space for thoughtful, trauma-informed community dialogue.

This event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 5:30 with the event beginning at 6:00.

Light refreshments will be served.

This evening is an invitation to come together as a community—to listen, learn, and strengthen the support we offer survivors and one another.
