WRENegrades Urban Sketching Workshop: People and Buildings with Lynn Bart
Monday, August 31 from 1 - 2 pm at the WREN Gallery
Come join the WRENegades and try your hand at Urban Sketching. What is Urban Sketching you ask? Well, it’s where artists set up in a city or town then do drawings of the street scenes they see.
We are going to learn some new techniques to quickly draw buildings and people. Throw out your old vanishing point perspective and counting the number of heads in the figure, these are just too slow to capture a live street scene.
Instead, we will be using a two-pencil technique for buildings and an outline technique for people. Beginners are welcome along with more experienced artists that want to try outdoor drawing and have some fun at this free event.
Please bring an inexpensive sketchbook, TWO pencils (#2 with erasers are fine) and optional folding chair.
RSVPs are not necessary, but they help us plan, and if there's a last minute change to the event, we can let you know if we have your RSVP. Thank you!
