The challenge is on! Can you help?
Support Camp today and help secure our water source!
Our current water tank is 60 years old
It was refurbished in the '90s to extend its life, but will not withstand an earthquake.
Erosion mitigation measures on the path to the water tank
After the Lake Fire in 2015, Camp diverted its attention from adding a second water tank to making sure that camp was safe from flooding.
Erosion mitigation near the site of the water tank
So much water needed to be diverted that giant boulders needed to be hollowed out to create a path for water to flow away from camp.
One potential site of the new water tank
This is a nice flat space adjacent to the water tank, but we'd like to save these old growth trees that have been living for 250+ years.
Another potential site for the new tank, 25 yards north of the tank
From the tank, if you walk "3 o'clock" by a few dozen yards, there is a new clearing created from the Lake Fire. This could serve as an alternate site.
A new tank means kids can enjoy our pool all summer long
In 2016, the pool was slow to fill because of drought and campers had to go offsite to swim for nearly 6 weeks.
