Meet Mary Kate, a fourth grader who recently stepped into the world of JA BizTown.
In her thank-you letter, she wrote:
“Thank you for allowing us to come to BizTown. I enjoyed having the job of a CEO of a radio station. I learned that being a CEO is hard. Financial literacy is important, so I know how to use money wisely. It was fun overseeing the radio station. I learned that it takes many workers for a town to run smoothly. I loved working at BizTown. I wish we could go again.”
Students like Mary Kate remind us of what happens when learning comes to life. Her excitement about being the CEO of her BizTown radio station, and realizing how teamwork, leadership, and financial literacy come together, capturing the spirit of JACF in action. Every student deserves the chance to imagine themselves as capable, confident, and ready for their future.
Your gift makes that possible.
Every year, thousands of fourth and fifth graders from Orange, Osceola, and Volusia Counties step into JACF BizTown, a simulated city where they run businesses, manage budgets, make decisions, and discover how the world of work really operates. Before arriving, these students spend weeks in their classrooms learning about financial literacy, careers, and civic responsibility, skills that build confidence and spark possibility.
Your support fuels these moments of discovery, not just at BizTown, but also through JACF's middle and high school programs, which connect classroom learning to real-world business challenges. Through 3DE by Junior Achievement and other experiential learningprograms, students build the confidence, skills, and mindset to succeed in college, career, and life.
