The course focuses on the history of the organizations that shaped the American Yiddish communist subculture. Special attention will be paid to the newspaper Frayhayt/Morning-Frayhayt, the Jewish People’s Fraternal Order, the Jewish Colonization Organization in Russia (ICOR), and the Yiddish Cultural Association (IKUF).
