In this course conducted entirely in Yiddish, students of Intermediate-Advanced level will practice reading and translating skills. We will read and translate Ezra Korman's anthology Yidishe dikhterins (Yiddish female poets) printed in Chicago in 1928. You will learn the biography and poetry of Dine Lipkes, Khane Levin, Mire Khenkin, and Anyuta Pyatigorskaya. All of them were born and raised in Ukraine.
