Course Goals: Use folksongs and stories to examine how the Jewish people saw themselves, their reactions to injustice and to understand the environment from which their creators grew.
Course Tools: Texts and recordings of the folksongs and stories; visual materials, including photographs and pictures by well-known painters; stories and anecdotes.
Additional Info: This course is conducted entirely in Yiddish.
